Rita Jamieson‘s grandson Harry was born with learning difficulties but, despite numerous visits to doctors, neurologists and paediatricians, he never really had a proper and definitive diagnosis of what was wrong with him.

Fortunate in that he could spend school holidays with his grandparents on their travels, Harry had more of a chance than many children – he visited specialist in Switzerland,Germany and even the Caribbean to try and find out what exactly was wrong and how he could be helped.

Eventual diagnosis was found on their doorstep – but not until they had gone through 10 years of trying to understand what was wrong. Harry now leads a normal life and goes to a mainstream schoo – achievements that seemed impossible in his early years.

The Trouble With Harry is by Rita Jamieson and published by Bright Pen. Visit www.authorsonline.co.uk for further details.
